Its that beautiful mystical time of the year when the autumnal leaves fall, nights draw in early and there is a definite chill in the air. Halloween, Bonfire night, warm fires, lots of time to catch up on sleep from the summer :) No Halloween treats for Bella in the traditional sense, so her sister thinks its a great time of year as she scores double the sugar!! I have homemade treats for Bella and some nearly sugar free sweeties. Bella loves a new biscuit, which I thought I would share for any keto mums out there looking for new ideas.

Toasted Almond Cookies (Bella is on 26g mct oil per meal)

= 1 carb

= 1 Fat

10g egg (1/4 protein)

2 sachet of mct procal (1/2 carb)

6g mct oil

7g free from Tesco batter mix (1/4 carb)

8 drops hermesetas liquid sweetener ( you may want more)

5 g toasted almonds in biscuit mix and 5g for sprinkling on top

drop of vanilla essence ( 1 fat)

2.5g dark chocolate to drizzle on top (1/4 carb)

mix everything but the dark chocolate and 5g of flaked almonds together , flatten out onto a non stick mat ( cut out with cutters if you want lovely shapes)

Bake for approx. 10 mins until lightly golden, melt chocolate and pour over biscuits once cool and sprinkle with nuts.

Bella's Halloween sweeties are a cookie and a selection of Fruitella new 30% less sugar sweets. Now she cant eat the whole lot in one go but one or two so you feel like one of the gang is just fine (in Bella's case is not going to make too much of a difference to her ketones)

One of these biscuits is Bella's snack between 4-5, or her last dose of oil with a frothy tiny milky baby chino before bed. (75mls milk = 1 protein)

Happy Autumn One and All
